The Department of English of our College offers a three-year B.A. General Degree Course. The entire course is divided into six semesters. Apart from the curriculum-based teaching of English literature, the Department strives hard to accomplish all the four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) of language learning in the students. We intend to endorse language fluency through interactive sessions, namely situational conversations, assimilation tests, conversational drills. Parallel to the current educational trends,we encourage student-centric teaching pedagogy and practice blended learning.
To keep pace with the demands of the millennium, the Department attempts to accomplish a twin objective; firstly, the immediate urgency to learn English as a functional medium of communication and secondly, to make our students career-ready. The Literary Club run by the Department plans and organizes various literary activities in the College, to name a few; poetry recitation, declamation, group discussion, story-telling across the academic session.
